Coloplast Penile Implants

Penile prostheses are an excellent treatment option for men with erectile dysfunction (ED) who have not responded to more conservative types of therapy.

Penile implants have a very high satisfaction rate among users and their partners. They are completely concealed within the body, so they are virtually undetectable. A penile implant will not change a man’s ability to ejaculate or achieve orgasm. The surgery does not affect sensation in the penis.

There are three types of Coloplast penile implants available in the United States.

The Coloplast Titan is a three-piece inflatable penile prosthesis made of Bioflex that consists of a pair of cylinders implanted in the penis, a pump and a reservoir. Pressing on a button transfers fluid from the reservoir to the cylinders, achieving a natural-looking erection that also increases in girth. The Titan is also available in a narrow design for men with fibrotic, stenotic or scarred tissue.

The Coloplast Titan OTR (one touch release) is a newer three-piece model designed with a special one-touch release valve for easier deflation.

The Coloplast Genesis is a malleable, flexible-rod, non-inflatable penile implant. Two bendable rods are implanted into the chambers of the penis. When an erection is desired, the penis is manipulated into an erect position. It is then positioned downward for everyday activities.
